I think I'd have to agree that life scares me more, too. Before my mom passed, I had confidence. I've not known confidence since she passed just over a year ago. Even for adults, no matter how independent a person is, the presence of a parent has the benefit of a sense of stability. Once they're gone, so the stability goes. And nothing can replace it.

Mom and Dad slipped away, they didn't even say "good-by". Mom just last February. Dad 13 years ago. Now I linger, holding on to my faith and trying to find a dream. I use to be afraid of death, not so much any more. I think life scares me even more.

I just had the 9TH anniversary of losing my father. I still miss him always. He lived with me the last 10 yrs. of his life. He battled cancer a couple of times. I watched him suffer so much! Life will never be the same without him again. We were very close! Father died on April the 30TH. 1999. So happy 9TH. anniversary in heaven. And some day I will see you soon. Love Stephanie
