- Tell a little about the person lost...
- My father passed 3 years ago.He was my best friend and confidant. His death was a result of Mesothelioma, a result of exposure to asbestos.Dad was a healthy, strapping, active, happy, funny man with many friends. His life was busy and fulfilling. Upon diagnosis, he died 6 weeks later. I took care of him until his passing. It was a frightening time, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. My grieving process was very long and painful.I have never felt more alone in my life. I attended a bereavement class for adults that lost parents and it was helpful in terms of the construct of the bereavement process....so at least I'd' know that what I was feeling was normal! But it hardly helped with the loneliness. They say everyone grieves at their own pace,...in their own time. I think the most important thing that I've learned is that death is NEVER acceptable. It just becomes doable, in time......

I am tryng to hang on....it is very difficult! I am actually doing better than I thought but there are rough days! We are all missing her so much! How are you doing?
