About Me:
I was a Hairstylist for the first 3rd of my life, A Highschool Teacher for the next 3rd & now I am a Self Empowerment Workshop Facilitator, Author and Intuitive Counsellor who helps people look at their life from a different view. My deceased Mother played an outstanding role ithe development of these tools and techniques. More and more I help others deal with grief by venting it creatively. My website is www.VentingCreatively.com for anyone interested.
Tell a little about the person lost...
My Mom, Laura, went home on November 27, 2003 after a very rough 2 years of illness first from a bout of siatica then lung cancer. Even after the huge weight loss and time of great pain she looked beautiful at the funeral, all signs of strain gone, her hair freshly done she looked like she did in earlier pictures of her. In spite of my fear of funerals and corpses since my Dad's funeral when I was 7, I couldn't stop touching her and feeling such love for her. I am sure it seemed odd to others but I never felt more sure that she was at peace. It wasn't until much later that I had to deal with the other more negative feelings associated with grief. and every year on Christmas Day and on Mother's Day the void is still very real. I know it will get easier. I also know it is okay to miss her as much as I do. She lets me know every now and then that she is thinking of me as well through the words and actions of others. She had a great sense of humor and was loved by many and will always be a part of my life, perhaps even my next one. Love Carolyn

Hi again father Marc. I haven't had an opportunity to get back to this site until today. My beautiful angelic 16 year old cat passed away peacefully on my bed May 18th. While it was an extremely hard 4 days watching the process and my heart still aches from his loss it was a truly beautiful thing to be there as his soul went "home". Since then I have done a number of "heartworks" as part of my grief process and he has shown up in each one even though my eyes were closed in the creation of these drawings. I know it will take a while to fully release all my grief but I am able to truly feel the gratitude for having him in my life. He opened a place in my heart no human has ever been able to touch. Being a cat lover, I know you will understand. Love & Light, Carolyn
