- I am 53 and have 2 sons Shane and Shawn. Shane is in heaven waiting for us, shot and killed at 22.. We love and miss him more every day.

- Shane was shot and killed at age 22. Though no justice was or ever will be served on earth, one day she will stand beforeJesus Christ, the ultimate judge and He will judge her. Does it ever get any better?
I really dont think so? Yes, it gets different, its not the mind numbing , think u are crazy, heart pounding grief that it was for the first few years, but, there is not a day that I dont cry when I first wake up if I sleep at all. I can be doing "ok" and hear a song, remember spoken words, see someone that I think is Shane for just 1 second, see the hurt in Shawn's eyes as he still mourns his only sibling daily, see a picture of you and wish I had taken thousands more although I thought I took… Continue

So sorry you need to be here- it must be THE hardest thing to 'lose'
a son or daughter- at least it is natural to bury your parents, as hard as that is!
Our loss is Heaven's gain.

I am speachless.... after such prfound words I cannot begin to know how to properly respond. So I am asking God for his help in expressing my sentiments.
First, let me honor your courage and wisdom in not letting this poor troubled soul hurt your family anymore than she has. To bless her and send her on her way took some courage and faith...and that is truly to be respected. She will walk a very terrifying path for some time. Hers will come to her.
I want to offer my prayers for your health....God is not done with you yet. Many more people need to hear your story of sacrifice and forgiveness before you are going home....and yes, most certainly, you are going home.
The love you giave to this Community is great apppreciated, truly valued, and humbly received. It is my deepest prayer that all the love you share comes back to you manyfold.
You are on a painful journey...but you are walking step by step with God.

Such a tragic loss-I often find myself without the right words to express when I find another young life taken so violently.
Know that you are loved beyond measure, you are truly not alone.
Justice always does close the circle, sometimes soon, sometimes later, but the justice always fulfills itself in its right time.

"I am so very sorry for your loss." No matter how heartfelt they are intended. those words can feel trite or cliché... that is the problem with expressing sympathy with just words...they do not seem like they would be enough. We mean the best....but those words don't seem to be enough.
That is why I wanted to create this site. I think that over time....with words, prayers, photos, video, and heartfelt emotions....we can all express what we truly feel to each other....
We want to share that life is precious, that time goes too fast, and that we don't feel like we have nearly enough time to be with those we love. And when one of those people leave this world.... we wonder just how can we possibly get along with out them?
