I miss jake with every beat of my heart
- Tell a little about the person lost...
- Jacob is the youngest of four children
he was born in Wagga Wagga NSW Australia on the 17th of June 1991
Jacob grew to be a very energetic young boy with blonde hair and blue eyes
Jacob loved playing sport and playing with his brothers Ryan and Jonathon and loved his sister Jacinta
Jacob was diognosed with AML (Leukaemia) on the 1st of November 2003
Jacob's battle began that day
Jacob fought his Leukaemia with courage strength humor and faith
he would find the funny side in so many situations during his treatment
Jake never cried....Never once said "Why me!"
Jacob lost his battle with AML ( due to doctors at the Brisbane royal childrens hospitals Incompetence ) on the 16th of June 2005 at 5:08 pm at home in his own bed as far away from the Hospital as we could get him

I am wearing a pair of shoes.
They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable shoes.
I hate my shoes.

I hope you too had a lovely Christmas. We had a lovely relaxing time at the beach. Xavier was a real fan of Christmas this year. Can't say I am a fan of a 'New Year'. Each New Year feels like it takes me away from the time I had with Fletch. A bit hard to explain I guess. I hope all is well with all of your family. Love Amy xxxx
I know just how very special your Angel is because he is still reaching out to connect us. I hope your day was peaceful and full of wonderful, happy memories.
I'm finding this year quite difficult, every year is so different and just when you thought you'd got used to it ..........!!!!! But I know I'll get through it, as I always do.
It's actually Meshael's 22nd birthday - but we are holding her party on the 21st this year with it being a Saturday. Tomorrow (her Angel day) we are going to the cemetary and in the afternoon to leave flowers at the tree her school planted in the grounds. I know I'll be strong with my friends there to support me and here (in cyber space) to hold me up when the going gets too tough.

We are half a world away from each other, yet we have walked such a similar journey. Jacob had it right, cancer sux. No two ways about it. No parents should have to watch their child go through that. Through the chemo and the hair loss and all the crud that goes with it. Our wonderful children get taken from us way too soon.
