Tell a little about the person lost...
My sister passed away in November of 2007. My relationship with her was strained for years and pretty much fell to it's demise many years ago. The strain between us ixnayed my realtionship with my nephew Doug. I know I could never fill her shoes for Doug, however - I'd like think I am a great Aunt to him. I love him so much and am very happy to have him back in my life. There may be some things we don't talk about, I don't know. Perhaps this site will help him vent if he needs too. God is good!

Hi Liz - I am sure that Doug thinks you are a fantastic Aunt!! Whatever your relationship was with your sister, the bond you and Doug is special. Maybe one day you can talk about what happened, but for now, just enjoy him being past of your life.
