Profile Information

About Me:
I am the mother of a son and a daughter and have been married for 23 years. I keep children in my home whom I love with all my heart and plan on being their with them as long as I can. I am also the mom to 4 dogs, 1 cat, 1 parrot and 1 parakeet.
I used to be obsessive about genalogy until I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. My obsession now is keeping my daughters memory alive.
Tell a little about the person lost...
My daughter Holli was killed in a car accident on april 9, 2006. Her boyfriend was the driver and he was twice the legal limit intoxicated. He survived and Holli was killed insantly.
She was my best friend as well as my daughter.
To learn more about her, please visit her memorial page at
http://holli-crockett.memory-of.com
and light a candle for her.

Pictures and easter eggs

I took some pictures off the site today because I was trying to put them in an album and I am having to do it in between kids crying and diaper changing. So I am now going to try and put them in an album on my site and I would love for you to look at them. I think pictures tell so much about a person. I love taking pictures and had always thought that I had taken alot of pictures of my kids when they were little, but when holli died, I couldn't seem to find enough pictures. All of a sudden, I re… Continue

I understand... my daughter, who looked anbd was so much like me, was unexpectedly taken from us on May 7th of this year. She'd had lymphoma but was declared 99.8% cancer-free exactly one week prior to her passing. The doctor on duty told us she died from end-stage lymphoma but that makes no sense, as Christie was the very next day supposed to have her last chemo treatment and then get ready for a stem cell transplant! We're still seeking closure on this but I know what it's like to lose a piece of your soul, and have your heart broken so completely that you believe it will never be whole again. My arms ache to hold Christie as I'm sure yours do to hold Holli. Perhaps we can share and be of some comfort to each other?

Holli looks a lot like her Mom. Her eyes show that she was full of life and wonder. I know it is hard losing a child. May God be with you now and always. ~Ann

Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I so need to hear from people who understand the uniqueness of losing a child suddenly. I will try to figure out how to add pictures. I have a lot of them on a facebook page. Need to get back to work.

Thank you for thinking of me. Yes, I was devested when I was told I have cancer. But, I am getting thru and, the doctor said, the cancer was a very low grade tumor. and, I probably won't need chemotherapy. I will pray for you that yours doesn't return. And, you may heal from losing your lovely daughter. I enjoyed your video of her. I belong to the MADD organization. Just ashamed people get drunk and drive.

Thank you for my angel! Your so sweet! When I read about Holli, it makes my heart skip a beat and it brings tears to my eyes! I cannot imagine what you have been through. But, Know I think of you alot. I plan on visiting Holli's site on memory.com also. I have one on there for my mom also. It is www.Charlotte-Luce.memory-of.com Check it out when you have time.

We have alot in common. Before mom was diagnosed, I ran a daycare (I was the Director) of a large center 202 children. So, I know where you are coming from. But, I am now working at our Middle School. Boy, is it interesting!!!!! Yikes!!!!!

Love,
Denise
