About Me:: i am happly married to my husband john and i have a son nick. i am a secretary in a local hospital and try to keep my self busy.

Tell a little about the person lost...: this was my oldest son gjon whom was killed at the age of 20 in a car accident his brother nick was also in the car and is a survivor of this accident

tomorrow would have been gjon's 27th birthday----he has been gone now for 6 1/2 yrs. but it still feel's like today---he was my son but also my good friend so i feel like i lost more---nick is doing ok he does have a very very hard time with survivor guilt as he never lost concenest and was trying to help his brother but his injury wouldn't let him---pray for us tomorrow as we try to get thru another day

At 5:22pm on April 27th, 2008, Director said…: So sorry .... I wonder. How did Nick handle being a survivor? I mean....for some surviving can be very hard....they feel guilty that someone they love was lost and they are still alive. I was wondering if Nick experienced that.

Welcome to the Healing Community.

"I am so very sorry for your loss." No matter how heartfelt they are intended. those words can feel trite or cliché... that is the problem with expressing sympathy with just words...they do not seem like they would be enough. We mean the best....but those words don't seem to be enough.

That is why I wanted to create this site. I think that over time....with words, prayers, photos, video, and heartfelt emotions....we can all express what we truly feel to each other....

We want to share that life is precious, that time goes too fast, and that we don't feel like we have nearly enough time to be with those we love. And when one of those people leave this world.... we wonder just how can we possibly get along with out them?

It is my prayer that not only can we find a way to remember those lost....but that, in their honor, we can find a way to keep making life precious.
