About Me:
I am a 49 year old woman, divorced and raising my 11 year old son. I have overcome much adversity and loss in my Life, but faith, hope and loving friends and family have loved me through it all. I only hope I am the same kind of friend and family member, even acquaintance, who can offer the same loving support along the way...
Tell a little about the person lost...
I recently lost my Mother (at 83) who lived with me and my son for the last year of her Life. I had Hospice involved with us, and she died with honor and integrity in my home. I lost my Father about 6 years ago, also 83, and also with the loving support of Hospice.
What a Loving, excruciating, honorable, intense (I could go on) experience it was...and still resonates within me.
You both live on...I have the belief that you are with me and watching! The images of your last days are fading...and being replaced with the richness and love of our lifelong relationship. You are still loved and missed....I hope you don't get sick of me talking to you all the time! : )

Perhaps you would consider adding an image to your profile. It is a great way to personalize your page and it helps other members know more about what your page is for. Many people like to show a photo of themselves....others prefer to show a photo of thier lost loved one.....or you may find that an artistic image like the one I have really expresses you the best. Images are easy to find on the internet....especially if you search with Google. I like to search for a keyword (for example "Angels") and at the top of the Google page you can specifically search for 'images'......most images are open and available for the public to share.

Hello There:

Welcome to the Healing Community.

"I am so very sorry for your loss." No matter how heartfelt they are intended. those words can feel trite or cliché... that is the problem with expressing sympathy with just words...they do not seem like they would be enough. We mean the best....but those words don't seem to be enough.

That is why I wanted to create this site. I think that over time....with words, prayers, photos, video, and heartfelt emotions....we can all express what we truly feel to each other....

We want to share that life is precious, that time goes too fast, and that we don't feel like we have nearly enough time to be with those we love. And when one of those people leave this world.... we wonder just how can we possibly get along with out them?

It is my prayer that not only can you find a way to remember those lost....but that, in their honor, you can find a way to keep making life precious.

This is your site. Feel free to explore at your own pace.... and contribute as you feel is best.

I am here to help you in any way possible. If you have any questions at all...please let me know.

Eric

Hi Holly,
I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my mom. She was 68 and that was 7 months ago. We also had hospice for a few months and went through about 9 mos. of hard times. I think you will find alot of support on here. Let me know if you need to talk. Denise
