About Me:
Picture above, me in the middle presiding over a most beautiful day, the fulfillment of two of His children, now bound as one, the wedding day. I am a retired pastor, now a full time minister of Him to all who will listen. Actually we clergy never retire, we just move within other area's of ministering (and being ministered to) where He guides us to serve Him well. Not much to say about me unless you make the mistake of handing me a microphone or stand me where two are gathered, (if you speak to anyone who knows me they will tell you I will talk to a stump, pull it out and talk to the hole :-) Amen!
"Gettin on down the road", the "retiring" has led me is into new worlds of net broadcasting, setting-up two new Christian (net radio) stations, http://www.wsdr.org and http://www.bluegrassjubilee.com. WSDR aka Sweet Dove is Christian Pop, Rock, Praise music, BluegrassJubilee is all Bluegrass and Country Christian. We have been slowly putting the equipment together for over two years, it is now coming to fruition, drop by, check out the temporary site, get ready for our new look and some great music for all.
That said, I am married to a wonderful Woman who actually helps make me a better man than I really am. We have 7 loving adult kids between us (scattered all over the country) a handsome 18 year old Grandson and a beautiful 6 year old Grand-daughter. The grand daughter who not only is "the apple of her mom's eye" but is frankly the "protégé" of her Aunt Bee and the unbridled joy of her Ma'Maw, aka, MD. Tell me my friend, what more could you ask for, He gave us free will, His Grace by Faith, loving kids and the innate ability to Love, it's a good day to be "in the world".
Tell a little about the person lost...
My most cherished Grandmother, 1/2 Oglala Sioux, 1/4 Scot and 1/4 Irish and all Texan. The wondrous woman who taught me the ways of our people, gave of her love freely without hesitation nor question. The selfless lady with a God given gift to comfort all she touched no matter the cause. The self-same woman who could rope a Texas Longhorn as tough as they come or cradle a newborn child with the mist of joy brimming in her eyes. When she spoke your name just before dawn, the sun rose in your eyes, when she said "I love you, sweet dreams", the sun went down, but you knew, you knew it would rise again on the morrow, my Grandmother said so.
Check out WSDR and BlueGrass Jubilee you will be glad you did!

Top of the evening to you Father Marc. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, I have swamped myself with editing hundreds of music tracks and voice over work for the net station and have not been on this "email only" computer. This error in judgment does not bode well, human contact and "being" there/here for others is what counts, not CPU trivia! I will have this thing fired-up 24/7 starting tomorrow, that way I can monitor the 2 broadcast CPU's and the server from this unit and the secondary one beside this one, finally, all 7 are networked!!!
It is good to see and speak with you my Brother, till the morrow.
By His Grace.

Touch, The needs of All , The Hope Within.

Simple little statement, "Touching". This little five letter word holds so much meaning that it is dear to most all, we humans. Life sustaining, full of promise yet denied to so many. The promise within "touching someone" or of being "touched" holds so much within human truths, empathy and feeling as to be indescribable, holding many different connotations to all who touch or who are touched.
I find myself thinking of this word "touch" often as I grow older and hopefully wiser, within the deepest parts of our soul we thrive upon touch or wither without this simple little movement that can be of empathy, compassion, understanding, warmth, tenderness, Love or sadness to name a very few of it's wonders.

Some time ago one of the largest phone companies came forth with the add program, "Reach out and Touch someone". They, (through there Research and Development and the PR firms) thought they hit upon the mass-appeal "effect" of our intimate compulsion and longing for affection, togetherness, the longing for the Christ-like, God given hunger for touch.

To quote George and Peggy Goldtrap (the writers of "Happy Talk", touch depravation leads to 'hearth' disease; fractured families, clogged commitments, and ruptured relationships",
"Roseeau said: "to live is not merely to breathe, it is to act; it is to make use of our organs, senses, facilities of all parts of ourselves that give us the feeling of existence. If we lose awareness in a real way we cease to exist".

We, here within the community of man and in our daily lives "touch" one another in so many different ways. Some through personal email, posts, telephone calls, SKYPE and forums, if we are really fortunate, through personal one-on-one contact with one another.
I use this only as an example, I am one of the fortunate ones, a dear friend and "fellow keeper of the flame" by the name of Jerry came to visit my home, my family, my friends and me. He came to visit this place and others for many reasons, not the least of which, to meet, to share, to touch, he touched me by his presence, and I him, in my own way. The hand upon an arm, the look between people, talk that flowed from one to another, the feeling of being cared for by another, the re-assurance that we are not alone among humans, the Father is among us.

So many here within this community have brought that wonderful sense of "touch" to me, and yet they are "starved" for the lack of this same "touch". You cannot in any manner thank someone for this deep abiding feeling, so, you pass this wondrous gift of closeness and empathy on to another.

Some humans do not like nor feel comfortable by the direct touch of one to another, yet there are so many ways we can show that we care for another, especially a stranger when there should be no stranger in our brief sojourn of life as we know it. To "touch" one that we truly have not had the pleasure of knowing yet, is simple. A nod, smile, acknowledgement of there presence, so very many ways they are uncountable. Do not let another moment go by without touching someone, you will receive so much more than you give, this might make the difference between life being of warmth, tenderness and acknowledgment of another human and passing over to our Fathers care without this wondrous gift, that of human touch, be a part of your fellow man, help make the world smile.
Rev. David

Take a moment to "touch" someone you haven't talked to in some time, let them know you care even though they may know it without your telling them, be as fortunate as I am, for I have been touched by many.

Blessings be unto thee.
Rev. David
